On April 4, four Jacobs Institute affiliated faculty members will participate in a panel discussion on “The Implications of the Dobbs Decision” as part of National Public Health Week. The discussion, hosted by the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health and GW Public Health Student Association, will address medical and legal as well as the domestic and global public health ramifications of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling eliminating abortion as a federal constitutional right. This interdisciplinary panel features:
- Sara Rosenbaum, JD – Professor Emerita Health Law and Policy at the Milken Institute School of Public Health
- Julia Strasser, DrPH, MPH – Director of the Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health & Assistant Research Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health
- Shirley Graham, PhD – Director of the Gender Equality Initiative in International Affairs & Associate Professor of Practice in International Affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs
- Sara Imershein, MD, MPH, FACOG – (Immediate) Past Chair of the District of Columbia Section of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists & Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences
