The March/April issue of Women's Health Issues contains a piece by Managing Editor Liz Borkowski and Editor-in-Chief Karen A. McDonnell about the legacy that former Jacobs Institute of Women's Health executive director Susan F. Wood leaves. The piece describes her scholarship and advocacy for high-quality research and evidence-based policy, and it concludes with these words:

"We at the Jacobs Institute and Women's Health Issues mourn the loss of a colleague and friend whose good-natured determination in the face of adversity would be particularly valuable at this moment in time. We aim to carry on Susan's legacy of supporting high-quality research and encouraging its use to shape policies to improve public health."
