Trump Administration Cancels NIH Scientific Integrity Policy

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) rescinded its scientific integrity policy, which prohibited political interference with science and provided a structure for addressing scientific integrity concerns. The recission notice states that NIH will be covered by the scientific integrity policy of its parent agency, the Department of Health and Human Services. Jacobs Institute managing director Liz Borkowski explained to Science and E&E News why the loss of the NIH-specific policy is still a concern.
